STATS are UP: We are Home!

HELLO!

STATS ARE DONE!

Don't forget to put your Score sheet inside your envelope!! Almost lost a week of play! Good thing the Visiting team found a copy, or else??

I will be working on the 'End of Year' Schedule, Playoffs, Banquet, etc.' You will be notified as per League Message, and all will be posted on Web.

WE ARE HOME!!! For those interested in our Recovery from Sick Kids:

My daughter Rebecca, has a congenital heart defect, and other problems associated with a chromosome micro-deletion of 22q11. Velo-cardio-facial syndrome, developmental delays, etc.

Anyhoo, her surgery was a 'redo' (which she must have all her life). She has a 'conduit' instead of a pulmonary artery going from the R. side of her heart (R. Ventricle) to her Pulmonary arteries that branch off left and right (that go into her lungs) There is a 'humanograph valve' inside this conduit.
She has a valve leak as well - Aorta. And enlargements, multiple stents, graphs, etc.
They did her 'redo', and were unable to get her off the 'heart-lung bypass machine'. They tried 2X without success, and realized they had to replace the 'valve' in her Aorta.
That put her on 'by-pass' far longer than anticiapted, and far longer than is good.
They replaced the Aortic valve, 2 attempts to get her off bypass again, and were successful.

She recovered really well, considering ! and we were exhilarated!! We got out of Hospital early (8) days, but were re-cooperating @ Ronald McDonald House (Thank you MacDonald's!!!).
She still had low-grade temps. , and seemed to get worse.
Then - the right side of her arm/wrist/hand & leg/foot starting moving uncontrollably. Also, ticks in the face, and 'sounds' from her throat.
She had suffered a 'brain injury' from the Operation, which were just becoming more apparent. Off to the Emergency as per directed, and in Hospital again......another 5 days. Then back to Ronald McD's.
Her 'movements' are much smaller now, and some medication is helping. She is slow to heal, but I am very hopeful, and thankful that her faculties seem to be in tact. It could have been much worse for her. I see it in the hospital all the time, the result of brain injury. I do feel very fortunate that her 'brain injury' is in the scale that it is.
We are plugging along, and I have got lots to catch up on...(paperwork,dr.'s, etc.)

Thanks for continuing to play in TBPL. A league that serves it's players, and it's my players that Make the League!!

Take Care, and count our Blessings!!!
Gail
