*******CHAMPIONSHIPS*******
CCS - New - Green Fees No more plugging the table at $1.50 per game! A 'Green Fee' will be added to the Entry Fee and all the tables will be open for free play from tourney start to finish. We're not the first but judging from how often we've been asked, it's probably overdue. CCS - New - 2nd Chance Brackets '2nd Chance' brackets are being added to the Scotch Doubles and 9Ball Singles and Team events at all CCS Championships. Entry is free and automatic with all Cash Prizes coming from Added Money by the CCS. CCS - New - 'Oh So Close' Free Entries All entrants in all events who finish 'one out of the money' in this year's Championship will now receive a 'free entry' to next year's Championship (same Event, same Division'). Sorry, you'll still have to pay the Green Fee. CCS - New - Maritime Championhips It's been a while but it's back! Spearheaded by Dave Boone with help from the Billiard Shop, these Championships will be held once again this Fall from Nov 23-25 at Dooly's in Lower Sackville NS. There will be $6000 added in Cash and Entries. CCS - New - Canadian Championships - Going Hi-Tech First used in major US VNEA tournaments, Gary Benson (the Tournament Director) will be using the CompuSport Tournament Display system at the 2013 Canadians. On site display screens will replace the hard copy tournament Charts. This means that all the charts will be online, constantly updated and accessible from anywhere, anytime and by whatever way you choose. CCS - Mens Team - No '3 Original Member' Rule There is no '3 Original Member Rule' in Mens Team Play at any CCS Championship. All Team Members must must have played a minimum number of Matches in the same CCS sanctioned League in the current league year. CCS - Womens Teams - No 'Same League' Rule There is no 'Same League Rule' in Womens Team Play at any CCS Championship. All Team Members must have played a minimum of Matches in any CCS sanctioned league in the current league year. CCS - Championship Staff We just have to give a shout out to our Tournament Directors and Referees who always keep CCS Championships on track and running smooth. With years of experience, they make it look easy when it's not. The Tournament Director for the Canadians is Gary Benson from Ft. Collins Colorado. For the BC's and the Westerns, it's Chris Kelly from Calgary AB. Both have done every CCS Championship to date; 21 so far and still counting. For the Referees, every Championship is manned by fully certified ACS National Referees, headed by Jeff Phythian from Calgary AB and Wayne Dwyer from Toronto ON. Just like Allstate, you couldn't be in better hands. You may not like the call but I can almost guarantee it will be the right one. CCS - Player Rankings We take player rankings very seriously. The fairness of every Championship depends on it.
Every player is assigned one and the Division (Standard, Open or Advanced) that you can enter in any Event of any CCS or ACS Championship will be based on it.
Singles Ranking - based on 8 Ball Singles Events; your last 2 performances. Team Ranking - based on 8 Ball Team Events; your last 2 performances.
For more detailed information, click on 'Player Rankings' in the middle of the left sidebar.
