HERE IS SOME CCS INFO/PRESS RELEASE:

Hi Everyone:

I hope everyone is having a good Summer.

Please find attached the Final Results from the CCS 2013 BC's, Westerns and Canadians. All the Winner pictures will be posted shortly to the CCS website at www.cdnqsport.com.

The CCS had a great league year in 2012/13:
• Membership up 10% to close to 4000 with 60+ leagues across Canada.
• Re-introduction of the Maritime Championships (thanks to Dave Boone).
• Continued cue sponsorship from Cue&Case Sales (Pure X cues).
• Introduction of Green Fees at all the tournies.
• Introduction of free 2nd Chance brackets for all 9Ball and Scotch Doubles events.
• Use of the Compu Sport Online Tournament Chart system at the Canadians.

It's amazing what can happen when leagues band together. On behalf of the entire CCS Board, we thank everyone for their continued support of the CCS Championship Program in Canada.

Things look even better for 2013/14:
• Continued cue sponsorship for every league by Cue&Case Sales but with distribution done directly by CCS.
• The free PPLMS Stat and Scheduling System has been upgraded to accept 17 Point game scoring.
• Looking at expanding the online streaming done at last year's Canadians to all the CCS tournies this year.
• Looking at creating a 5th annual tourney - CCS Vancouver Island - this Fall. Details to be announced.
• It's official. The CCS Canadians have been combined with the CBSA Canadians as a National 'Pro-Am', which we're very excited about.

Our dates have been set and here they are:

CCS Maritimes - November 21-24 - Doolys Portland Str - Dartmouth NS
CCS BC's - February 26-March 2 - Lakeside Resort Hotel - Penticton BC
CCS Canadians - April 14-19 - Delta Meadowvale Hotel - Mississauga ON
CCS Westerns - April 23-27 - Acadia Rec Centre - Calgary AB
ACS Nationals - May 10-16 - Tropicana Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas NV

We're working on the Promotional Materials now (Posters and Tournament Brochures) and same should be posted on the CCS website and available for distribution by mid-August.

As always, when you're working on getting up and running again and have a query about CCS or need some help with something, don't hesitate to give me a call at (403) 278-4180 or send me an e-mail.

Regards,
Ted Harms

First Time Ever
Combined 2014 CBSA / CCS Canadian Championships!
April 14th-19th
Delta Meadowvale Hotel
Mississauga ON

Every year, there are two National Pool Championships in Canada:
• CBSA ‘Canadians’ - to select and crown the very best Open players who will represent Canada in the WPA World Singles Championships in 8 Ball, 9 Ball and 10 Ball.
• CCS ‘Canadians’ - to recognize and honour the very best Pool League players in Singles and Team play in 8 Ball and 9 Ball.

The CBSA and CCS proudly announce that, for the first time ever, two of Canada’s most prestigious Pool Championships will be ‘combined’ in 2014 at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel in Mississauga ON from April 14-19th. .

Steve Cooper, CBSA President: “CBSA is very pleased to be sharing the stage with the CCS at the Delta Meadowvale, next Easter. We feel that it is a huge leap forward for cue sports in Canada.”

Ted Harms, CCS President: “What a great opportunity for CCS players to see all the world class, Canadian stars first hand, in the game we all love to play. We can hardly wait.”

It will be the ‘World Trials’ and a ‘National Pro-Am’ rolled into one! Canada’s very best Men’s and Women’s players, at all levels, will all be together ‘in one place, at one time’ for a week-long celebration of great pool.

The CBSA entrants will be on regulation 9’ tables and the CCS entrants will be on bar box 7’ tables. It’s going to be exciting to watch and fun to be a part of. Players are encouraged to play in both.

Something as major as this doesn’t happen overnight and not without a lot of work. Both Boards are to be commended for all their efforts and accommodations in overcoming the many logistical and scheduling issues.

Full details will be released and posted on both websites in the coming months.

Let’s Play Pool!
